a3i is founded by Wilco van Ginkel. He is a seasoned entrepreneur with in-depth knowledge and extensive international working experience in the field of cyber security, big data, cloud, and machine learning. Wilco (co-)founded different organizations, like Seculior, the CSA Big Data Working Group and the CSA Dutch Chapter.
Given the increasing concerns regarding transparency, explainability, security and safety of AI systems, he founded a3i to take these concerns head-on. His goal is to help organizations to build/gain trust in their AI systems by incorporating a3i's Trust-in-AI Framework.

Norm Couturier has been a technology business builder, owner, and entrepreneur for the last 30 years, having co-founded 8 different product and service companies. Two of the product companies were successfully acquired by Fortune 500 companies.
He has built software companies from scratch (to 100+ employees); been through a few company acquisitions, mergers and sales; pitched many VC’s, secured investors, and has been fortunate to be part of $30M+ of acquisitions. His passion is creating innovative solutions that solve problems companies face every day, and problems they don't even realize they have.
Norm currently leads 10Speak Innovation, an executive consulting firm that provides business, product and brand strategy, along with market development to fast-paced innovation companies that are scaling. He also has a passion for developing the innovation eco-system in his home province of New Brunswick. He chairs the Startup Fredericton Taskforce, volunteering a portion of his time to build collaboration amongst the entrepreneur support organizations in Fredericton, and is currently developing an initiative to expand this collaboration throughout NB.
Paul Eisner is the president of Mariner Innovations. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s strategic growth and oversees all business and technical operations.
Paul has over 25 years’ experience in communications, advanced media technology and cyber security and has held executive leadership positions at Mariner, IBM, Harris Corporation and Leitch Technologies. Paul brings an energetic global business perspective and has managed teams in North America, Asia and Europe. Prior to his appointment as President of Mariner Innovations, Paul was the founder of Mariner Security Solutions, a startup within Mariner Partners and now a part of Mariner Innovations. In this capacity, he successfully led Mariner’s entry into the high growth market of information security services and products. Paul is also a strategic advisor and Chairman of the Board for Beauceron Security, a Fredericton NB based cyber security startup.
Paul holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of New Brunswick, a Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial) from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Science from Acadia University. Paul is a graduate of the Darden School of Business (University of Virginia) Executive Development Program.
